Let's introduce you to our PARTYYYY ROBOT "ALFIE DOOBLEY". We will have a great party and adventure thoughout the robotics lessons with him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Building Building our robot was a challenge as sometimes Tayla, Laura and I had difficulties placing pieces of lego in the right spots but our robot turned out AWESOME!!! The challenges that we are going to face is theThe pedestrian challenge, 360 turn and the snake. Weve never experienced anything like this before so it was great fun and new to all of us. We made many mistakes but it turned out fine.
This week we had to take our robot apart as we did the wrong co-ordinates when we put it together. It took a lot of effort putting it together but we had the teachers help us along the way.
Robot Educator This helped us when we were stuck. Laura and Tayla used the robot educator and Andrea was away.
Pedestrian Challenge We missed this section because our computer wasn't working.
360 degree challenge We scored 2 3/4 as we had problems. Our robot couldn't return to the exact spot nd we weren't sure what to say when asked to explain it. We will plan better next time.
Snake We have had alot of troubles with the snake as the wheels aren't going the correct way and it keeps stopping. It is very annoying because no matter how hard we try it still fails miserably. We are still having difficulies with.......
We are falling a little bit behind and we haven't finished building our robot so we hope to do that soon.
Shimmy We are attempting to do our shimmy Mrs Burns just helped us a little bit so we should be fine. We have just put a loop around our shimmy and are about to test (hopefully it works). First we went into drive forward, then we put a move and made it do a full left turn, then we did that with the right side. I'm not sure about degrees and stuff Andrea didn't tell me. Our shimmy just failed and continued to do 360's and it was going to slow. 2nd attempt, Andrea just made it a bit faster and the turns less sharp. Now it is driving when it shouldn't be. 3rd attempt, now it just moves about an inch to the left and doesn't do anything. 4th attempt, we are about to start. It is going backwards and turning and repeating this move. Andrea is fixing it again and took the moves out of the loop and changed it from brake to coast. 5th attempt, it is still not working it only turned once so we will try again. 6th attempt, Andrea thinks she fixed it she changed duration from 1 to 6. It constantly did 360's again. Andrea is hopefully fixing it. 7th attempt, it didn't work. It slightly turned so Andrea fixing it again lets hope she gets it right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She changed it from 50 degrees to 100 degrees. 8th attempt, it did one move we just need to make it do more now!!!! 9th attempt, it continued to do reallly fast 360's. Andrea put a loop around it and changed it to seconds. 10th attempt, IT WORKED. We are now getting ready to be marked. We got a 4 and a half because our turns were a bit to far.
2D shape test First we went into drive in square, then we put a move out and made it straight and then we made the next one a turn and we put it in a loop. Im not sure about the other things i wasn't told. Andrea is making the square. We attempted but it didn't work so we are trying again. We have to pack up so we hope to get it right and it will have to be marked next Wednesday. 1st attempt, we have just completed our first test and it ran into the wall....................... FAIL! It wasn't a pretty sight. 2nd attempt, Laura whas changed the degrees fro 90 to 110.......... it still didn't work! 3rd attempt, we have completed our 2D shape as an Octagon (by accident it was meant to be a square but a least and octagons better). Now we are getting it tested. Before Mrs Cooper said to take it off everlasting so we did and it was perfect. The results were in and we got a 5 ya, ya, ya, ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Song We are choosing our song now we can't seem to find any that would suit our ideas. We have now chosen and its "Replay''! this would completely go with our PARTY robot.
Dance: It worked out great(:!!! With all of the problems we had it all turned out the way it did to get us the score..............................................
